Weekly update - Post 8

Just before Christmas I managed to organise my cover lines establishing which ones I would like to have across my front cover. Explaining why I want them and why I think they will attract my audience into reading my magazine. I also started to draft my magazine. I managed to complete my contents page first adding image place holders as I haven’t done my photo shoot yet. I have also changed the colour scheme of my magazine as I thought the colour I have now on my draft suits the indie/rock style as red is just too powerful for the indie side of my magazine. I also managed to pick my font styles and have them all matching on my contents page. Also making sure my page numbers link to the correct page and do not overlap this is important to me as I do not want to lose marks for silly mistakes.

Contents page draft - #2

I have now finished all my text for my contents page. I used paragrapgh style for my text this helped me to keep the same sizes, fonts etc. This helped me lots ot complete my magazine and get my magazine to the best it can be, having my fonts and text all the same show i have a consistancy in my magazine. I currently have place holder photos on my contents page these are what i'd like my images on my contents page to look like. these images are only on my contents page until I have done my photoshoot. I have made my subscribe very bright and bold to attract the attention of my audience and drag them into buying my magazine. I have also added more text into my contents page as I needed to fill the gaps in my magazine. This fills my magazine and makes my magzine look full and creative with lots going on all over the pages.

Design Sketches

These are my design sketches for my music magazine. I am able to use these sketches as a guideline to create my magazine and help me know where to place everything within my magazines. obvisously i do not have the text in my sketches as i will plan this somewhere else and then copy it into my magazine on Indesign. These sketches are purley for my images knowing where i shall place them and what headings i may have on my magazine.
